Pained

This is a drawing of my OC, John Streak, pained by his side (probably due to injury while trying to escape, or avoiding capture). Was he struck in the side? Did he fall? Was he stabbed/impaled by something (now that I write that out it sounds really bad/dark doesn't it...I'm sure it was by accident...I hope...?)? This is a similar situation to that in my drawing "Help...", only the injury is on his right side this time, instead of his left. What do you think happened?

Funny story...I actually drew the base for this back on 3/20/16, but then it just sat in my sketchbook and got forgotten for a while...until I decided to finish it today! It only took...almost a year... >_>   I finished his legs first, then realized that from his waist up he was unproportionately big, so I had to redraw/downsize him from the waist up a few times before it started to look decent...unfortunately for me, that also meant erasing his right hand (while shortening his arm) which really made me mad, because the original right hand I had drawn was really good... T^T Oh well, here ya go.
